Snowy Sunday
Laurie & Chris at Miss Flower have started a new thread - Snowy Sunday! No snow here yet. As you can see from my new header. I took the photo yesterday, Saturday the 29th, on our way to Altoona, PA. I thought I'd join in and post some photos of snow in our area from past years and maybe some current snow photos if we are lucky to get some snow this year. Join in if your interested!
I took this from a snow covered bridge about 3 or 4 years ago. This is Will's Creek. It runs through our town. It has flooded several times and we now have flood control walls which were built in the 40's. This photo was taken above our town in the Narrows.

Sunday road trip - Blackwater Falls, WV
Last Sunday we took an early morning (out of bed at 5 am) road trip to Blackwater falls in WV.

Weekend road trips or looking for some fall colors!
We took advantage of a beautiful weekend to get out on the road. Saturday we went to Springs, PA for their annual festival.
We found some color along the way.
Hubby enjoyed a bratwurst.
I had kettle corn. Yummy!
Here are a few photos from around the festival. It's small but very busy.
They have a nice museum on the festival grounds
On the wall in the museum I found this calender from October 1915. My dad was born on October 17, 1915.
I couldn't do a post without adding a photo of my little boyfriend!

Same View - Different Year - Different Camping Trip
You'll notice I changed my header. I took this photo on our camping trip to Ohiopyle State Park over Memorial Day. This is the Youghiogheny River.

Saturday Road Trip - Again
Friday brought some winter weather to our area! Schools were cancelled and I missed about 1 1/2 hours of work in the morning because of the ice on our street. Saturday came and we had a few errands to run so with my digital camera in tow we headed out for the day. After the errands were done, I suggested we take a ride up to Frostburg where the weather is always a little more "wintery" and see if we could find some photo opportunities.

He knew and boy was he having fun at my expense! Spinning the wheels, fish tailing, and anything else to make me scream and grab the "oh*&%@ bar". You can check out his road trip pictures here.
Finally, back on clear roads. This farm house belonged to Paul's Grandfather. It's still in the family but unfortunately not us.
Walk your horses across this bridge or pay $10 fine.

Something to warm us up!
The temperatures here are frigid. Walking home from work tonight my eyeballs were even cold. So to warm everyone up a little and to remind us that spring will be here soon, here are some photos from last summer during the summer heat wave! Please enjoy!

When the Camera totin Idiot and I take a photography road trip one of the things we look for are barns. Here's a sample:

We always have a great time when we are out and about! With my new camera I'm getting better photos. Better color! I can't wait for spring and all the colors that come with it.
