Another Business Trip

Well, it is March and time for another business trip. This time we are going to Edison, New Jersey to the Abilities Expo.

This will be our hotel, Sheraton Edison Hotel Raritan Center! It's a very nice place. We've stayed here in the past when we attended this show.

The show is being held at the New Jersey Convention Center. This show will be much bigger then the previous show we went to in November. I hope it is much busier!

I'll be back Sunday night - LATE! Not sure when I'll get to post again. I hope everyone has a great week and I hope your finally enjoying some spring weather.

A Beautiful Saturday in March!

We are having a beautiful spring day! We went to a pancake breakfast this morning and it was very filling. We took a little drive and then back home to enjoy the sun coming in the windows. I hope everyone else is having a beautiful day!

Here are a few photos from the day!

Spring is coming! Something is coming up in my neighbor's yard.

The church we used to attend. The pancake breakfast was in the fellowship hall. My friend Debbie's girl scout troop put on the breakfast. The parents cooked while the girl scouts served.

It's our 29th Wedding Anniversary!

Paul & Ann - 1979 to 2008 - 29 years

Here we are on March 13, 1979

Here we are on our 25th anniversary in 2004.

Honey, you'll still the one! I LOVE YOU! We are still having fun!

This is our song!

In 2004 on our 25th anniversary we said our wedding vows again. Our friend Debbie gave us a 7x7 Creative Memories Scrapbook Album as a gift. I used the album to scrapbook our 25 years together. The song "Remember When" by Alan Jackson was our theme for when renewed our vows. I used the words from the song through out the album. I thought I would share the album with you today.

Remember When
Remember when I was young and so were you and time stood still. Love was all we knew.
You were the first and so was I. Made love and then you cried. Remember When.
Remember when we vowed the vows and walked the walk, and gave our hearts. Made a start and it was hard.
We lived and learned. Life threw curves. There was joy, there was hurt. Remember When.
Remember when old ones died and new were born. Life was changed, disassembled rearranged.
We came together, fell apart and broke each others hearts. Remember When.
Remember when the sound of little feet was the music we danced to week to week.

Brought back the love, we found trust. Vowed we never give it up. Remember When.
Remember when thirty seemed so old. Now looking back it's just a stepping stone to where we

are, where we've been. Said we'd do it all again. Remember When. Remember when we said we when we turned gray, When the children grow up and move away
We won't be sad we'll be glad for all the life we've had. And we'll remember when.

I made this collage for our second anniversary in 1981. I found it in the attic the other day. I think I'll frame it and put it up in my craft room.

I'm loving LOST!

I'm loving watching the new season of Lost! Each week the episodes have left me with a million questions and a few answers! I love it!

This weeks show was about Juliette. She had one of the best lines in the past 4 seasons.

Jack: “You people had therapists?”
Juliet: “It’s very stressful being an Other, Jack.”

Next episode - Thursday, March 13th!

Sawyer = Yummy!

What Kind of Dungeons and Dragons Character Would you Be?

Gary Gygax, the creator of Dungeons & Dragons, passed away today.

My hubby, my brother, and me played D&D in the 80's. We started playing with a group of friends and then played on our own. We had a lot of fun. We usually played at our apartment and we'd stay up to all hours of the night just so we could finish a game and our characters could advance a level.

I had three characters. Two were sisters - a thief, Jaxom and a cleric, Kayla. (I borrowed their names from the Anne McCaffrey Pern books.) The other one was a Princess and a magician. Her name was Menolly! (She's also named for a Pern character.) The module pictured above, The Keep on the Borderlands, was one of the most fun we played. I was the DM and Tom and Paul were the players.

I found this quiz to find out what character you would be and it figures it worked out that I am a cleric since that was what I played all those years ago. Also, I'm Lawful and Good. Well, the Camera Totin Idiot was right when he christened me Goody Two Shoes.

Go here to take the quiz! It's fun!

I Am A: Lawful Good Human Cleric (6th Level)

Ability Scores:

Strength-11

Dexterity-11

Constitution-10

Intelligence-13

Wisdom-13

Charisma-12

Alignment:
Lawful Good A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. He combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. He tells the truth, keeps his word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion. However, lawful good can be a dangerous alignment because it restricts freedom and criminalizes self-interest.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Class:
Clerics act as intermediaries between the earthly and the divine (or infernal) worlds. A good cleric helps those in need, while an evil cleric seeks to spread his patron's vision of evil across the world. All clerics can heal wounds and bring people back from the brink of death, and powerful clerics can even raise the dead. Likewise, all clerics have authority over undead creatures, and they can turn away or even destroy these creatures. Clerics are trained in the use of simple weapons, and can use all forms of armor and shields without penalty, since armor does not interfere with the casting of divine spells. In addition to his normal complement of spells, every cleric chooses to focus on two of his deity's domains. These domains grants the cleric special powers, and give him access to spells that he might otherwise never learn. A cleric's Wisdom score should be high, since this determines the maximum spell level that he can cast.

Happy Birthday Reta!

Today is my sister's birthday! Happy Birthday Reta!
We love you very much!
She's is the best sister a girl can have. She's always been there for me and our brother, Tom. She is a terrific aunt to her nieces and nephews. They are her pride and joy. She is also a special someone to Fred and his daughter Christina. She has many friends and loved ones.

Here are a few pictures of Reta.

Her nieces and nephews - They'll all much bigger now!

The following lyrics are from a song by Blackmore's night. I love the song. It makes me think of my childhood, family, and friends. It makes me think of my sister and the fun we had when we were kids. Of summers spent swinging outside and riding our bikes.

Reta has always been my best friend.

Once In A Garden

Once In A Garden
Where dreams could be found
Once children’s laughter
Was the only sound
The butterflies kissed our hair
Once in a Garden
I still see us right there

Once on a hilltop
Beneath the old tree
Swings made of tires
Made us feel so free
No one had worries, troubles were few
Once in a Garden
Where innocence rang pure and true

Hours of make believe
Playing in the sun
Dreaming with wonder
What would we become
My best friend
Holding my hand
We’d run by the sea
Through castles of sand

Once in a forest
Just like Robin Hood
Flowers were our play mates
We only saw good
In everything, be it right or wrong
Once in a Garden – I still can hear our song

Here's one of mine and Reta's favorite songs:

She has lifted me up in more ways then she knows.

I love you sweetie!
