Cars - My Favorite "Car"toon
A few photos of Jackson's Car collection. I've been collecting these since I knew he was coming. Paul's been helping. I'm trying to get all the main characters. I like the cartoon so much I want to share it with Jackson. It will be fun to have the cars to play with while we watch the movie.
I need a few more! Everyone asks me what will I do if Jackson doesn't like the cartoon? Well, I'm sure he will and if he doesn't I'll have a nice collection for another grandchild! Grandma's are funny like that I guess!

Videos for the middle of the night
Do you know there isn't anything on to watch in the middle of the night except infomercials? I found that out tonight. I'm not usually up at 3:30 am but here I am! So I watching an infomercial for 70's romantic music with Tony Orlando (from Tony Orlando and Dawn) and they keep showing video clips for songs I like. So I have to look them up on You tube. I wish they would sell a DVD of all the clips they show in these infomericals.
Here's Tony Orlando and Dawn. My Mom liked them.
Here's a favorite from John Denver - Rocky Mountain High
Do you remember this one? Paul Revere and the Raiders
And here is one I liked by Mark Lindsey (He was in Paul Revere and the Raiders)
Arizona
That's all for tonight. I better get off to bed.

Beautiful!
Just had to share this video. The group is called Il Divo. I saw the advertisement for their CD on TV and looked them up on the Internet. This is one of my favorite hymns. They do an excellent job. The bagpipes are great!

New & Old Music
I treated myself to a new CD last payday.

Hubby and I have been Journey fans all of our married years (29 1/2 years!) I think we have just about every album they put out in the 80's and plenty of 45's. Oh dear I am showing our age. We've even started a new collection of Cd's. When I heard they had a new CD with a new lead singer who wasn't Steve Perry I was skeptical and so was hubby. I've been hearing their new single on the radio several times a day and I like their new song so much I bought the whole CD. It is a Walmart exclusive and cost around $13. It is worth every penny. You get 2 Cd's. A CD of new music with the new singer and a CD with the old music sung by the new singer. Also included is a DVD of their 2008 Las Vegas concert. I'm not skeptical anymore!! Here's a video of their new song.
Never Walk Away - Journey - Las Vegas
Who is the new singer?

His name is Arnel Pineda. He is 40 years old but doesn't look it. He's from the Philippines and has an interesting story. And he sounds a lot like Steve Perry. Enough on some of the old songs to make you think it's the old band.

I still like Steve Perry!
Here's a sample of the same song then and now. What do you think?

I like this song!
Here is a new song release by Blake Shelton.
This song is so beautiful! I have felt like this several times. The time that stands out in my mind the most is in 1995. I flew to Anaheim CA with my work. It was the first time I had ever been on an airplane and it was the furthest from home that I have ever traveled alone. This song reminds me of how I felt the six days I was there. I wanted to go home. I missed my husband, my kids, my sister, my house. To quote the song "Another airplane, another sunny place, I'm lucky I know but I want to go home. I've got to go home. Let me go home. I'm just to far from where you are. I want to come home." That is exactly how I felt.
Michael Buble has also released this song. Lori likes his version better.
Here is the video. Let me know what you think!

Silver Bells
Here is a clip from The Lemon Drop Kid(1951). The movie starred Bob Hope and introduced the song Silver Bells. This is one of my favorite Christmas songs. I love it done by Doris Day. Bob is joined by Marilyn Maxwell. She has a beautiful voice. Enjoy!
Can you guess who is in the other Santa suit at the beginning of the clip?

What I'm listening too!

Lori & I are on a 70's kick. She is such a 70's child and she wasn't born until 1990. But she loves it and I love sharing it with her!

I love Josh Groban. Paul bought me this CD at a yard sale for $1. Great buy! His song You raise me up moves me so much. I life my arms to the Lord because that is what I hear in this song!

I just got this cassette collection and haven't listened to the whole thing yet. It moves me to hear what went on during the war years.

I borrowed this cd from a friend and put it on my computer at work. I would love to have the cd to listen to at home. There is not a bad song on this cd. My favorite songs are I can Only Imagine, God of Wonders, & My Praise Goes on. Just beautiful!

Christmas is the Time to Say I Love You!
Here is a You Tube video from MTV in 1981. Billy Squier with the MTV Chorus singing Christmas is the Time to Say I Love You. I loved it then and was excited to see it again after all these years. My family thinks I'm crazy! Ann
