I walk home past this house everyday and I think this porch looks so inviting. It just says to me "come and sit a spell". The house faces the afternoon sun and I'm sure the trees in the front yard offer much needed shade. Sad thing is I never see anyone sitting here. Maybe they are here sitting on their front pouch when I'm sitting in my own backyard enjoying the cool evenings.
Mayberry by Rascal Flatts
I miss Mayberry
Sitting on the porch drinking ice-cold cherry Coke
Where everything is black and white
Picking on a six string
Where people pass by and you call them by their first name
Watching the clouds roll by
Bye, bye

Great photo. I would be sitting out there. Great song referance:)
Love the song lyrics and love Mayberry and the Andy Griffith Show, too, of course. Have you ever visited Mt. Airy, N.C., one of the little towns Andy Griffith based the show on? Tom and I are talking about going someday. In the meantime, we have a Mayberry sorta-kinda neighborhood and town right here... at least I like to think of it that way (sometimes it's a stretch, other times, it's not). :) Thanks for sharing! Blessings, Debra
What a relaxing post...love it!
